Came here for lunch on a weekday. The food is definitely very authentic tasting, so no complaints about that. For the price, the quality is also really good. As this is a mom and pop restaurant, don't expect amazing service/dining experience: you come here for some hearty Chinese food and that's it! If I lived in New York, this would be a staple restaurant for me.

Love their food here. I always get their noodles dry with the soup on the side large. Their homemade hot sauce and sour sauce mixed with that is super super good! Curry noodles are also very delicious too but don't wear white! Your shirt will definitely get dirty from the splatter! Don't expect great service here but the prices definitely reflect that. The waiters are rude but that's because they don't want you to waste their time. Super affordable and tasty. Where else can you find great food?! Wish they stay open longer and have a location in Brooklyn.

Easily five-star food. Big menu with fantastic quality. Depending on the dish, you can choose your noodle type from a selection list, so it's customizable to preference. Curry noodles is my go-to order and never fails to win over people. The duck skin in the Mushroom with Duck soup is extremely tender and flavorful. The wontons are a fun, crispy appetizer--feels like a chip more than a wonton. The table sauces ramp up each dish! The green pepper sauce packs a tangy, zappy twist and is a star condiment. The shrimp-based red chili sauce adds a great depth as well. I do admit the workers can be intimidating in terms of speed and attitude, but I don't take personal offense to it whatsoever.

Cash only spot with amazing noodles! 4 of us went in around 12:30 on a Sunday and were able to grab a table immediately. I ordered the fish dumplings with egg noodles. Everything was amazing, especially the broth. The portions are also so filling and the price is unbelievably reasonable. They were a little slow when it came to taking our order but the food came out quickly. The inside is nothing fancy but you don't come here for the atmosphere, you come for the food. One of the best noodle places I've been to in Chinatown!

I grew up on this spot!! Yes, it's a hole in the wall. Yes, the servers are curt. But most of all, the food ALWAYS HITS. I've been coming with my family for over 15 yrs and it's been a neighborhood staple. A MUST GET is their Duck!! The sauce for the Duck (not like packaged Duck sauce) is very unique and tasty, it's indescribable. The pickled vegetables given with the dish cuts through the sweet and salty of the Duck. I always get a Flat Noodle Soup, which is soo good and comforting. My family always gets an Egg Noodle Soup. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with their noodle options here! Overall, regardless of reviews, I'll always come here, as it reminds me of childhood and tasty, comforting food.

I've loved Bo Ky since I was a child. Been back many times of course and pretty much nothing has changed except the prices. If it's your first time here, definitely order the country duck or country chicken. The chicken usually sells out by late afternoon so get it while you can. The place is no frills and cash only. The staff is slightly rude but that's part of the old school Chinatown charm. Chicken over rice is my usual go to but I felt like something different this time. I went with a delicious bowl of beef stew over thick noodles and added some beef balls. It was delicious, quick, and filling. The broth has a tomato base to it that's full of umami. That said, I was surprised to find out this guy cost $18. Not expensive if I was eating in Midtown, but for Chinatown? I was surprised. I'd still recommend coming here but for transparency, they currently have a C on their door.

¼ Duck 4.5/5 - $12 Wonton egg noodle soup -$8 This place can get very busy on the weekends. There is a variety of choices. The duck was delicious for the price. The sauce was so sweet and sour at the same time. Great flavoring. The wonton soup was huge and perfect to share. Overall a very nice place if you want a cheap meal.

No frills vietnamese-chinese spot with great food. I came here with a friend and really liked the food(minus the service)! We got three things and they were all amazing. 12. Curry Chicken Egg Noodle Soup - so flavorful with really soft chicken. The egg noodles were perfect with the soup. 3. Beef Belly Flat Noodle Soup - More tomatoey than chinese beef soup you might be used to but also super flavorful with huge chunks of meat. The wide noodles add great texture. Country Style duck - Great portion for only $15. We got a quarter portion and was shocked at how lrge it was. The complimentary sauces were also awesome. While I loved the food, I would give 2 stars for the service if I could. I ate there with my friend for about 35 mins and they pushed us out at the end we could not finish our food. We felt very rushed but I guess it was a busy day. That being said, if you are looking for a good fast food spot I'd still recommend. It's cash only and they do not understand english so wary of that when you come.

This place gets BUSYYY. On the weekends, there are usually crowds out the door waiting for tables. Ultimate favorite dish to get is the Satay Beef Ho Fun (I think it is the Teo Chew Sate Flat Noodle on the menu). Bold flavor, peanut-y, good amount of sliced beef. Favorite soup noodle is the Cambodian Ho Fun (#2 on the menu but I just ask for ho fun noodles instead). Make your own dipping sauce from the hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and chili oils at the table. Loaded with sliced pork, 2-3 shrimps and fish balls, and minced pork in the broth. I get their Beef Belly Flat Noodle Soup from time to time. The meat can be a bit overcooked at times but the tendons are always soft. The most no-frills of all no-frills restaurants. Don't expect good service--honestly you'll probably get yelled at. That's the price of these cheap eats and good food.
